Busy weekend, but a good one. Some highlights included a pretty good Torah discussion, a nice hike up Sycamore Canyon, dinner with a friend Sunday night wherein we had planned to watch videos and wound up talking for 4 hours instead. Made beef stew and biscuits, a crustless quiche on Saturday and a loaf of oatmeal raisin bread with extra protein (hooray for baker's milk powder), so we did not starve over the weekend.

Today was running about doing errands, a nap, a workout at the gym, then writing group this evening. I am liking the experience a great deal although I find myself struggling to produce.

The one thing I did manage to produce today was a personal mission statement. The idea was suggested by some of my current and recent reading and I found it an engrossing process over the last week to consider and discard and whittle away until I found my real core beliefs and the principles I live by or want to live by. Ideally, this will act as a reminder to myself when I choose how to spend my time.

Has anyone else tried this exercise? What was your experience?
