Obama and Biden won.
Democrats took the House and Senate.
Wow - I seriously was not sure I would live to see the day we elected a black president and it wasn't mostly about his race.
Prop 8 looks to pass, dammit. I will continue to fight for the rights of all of my fellow citizens, not just the ones who act like me.
We had a potluck at the temple tonight and watched the returns on the big screen. CNN, MSNBC, Fox, lather, rinse, repeat. (Any of you who have visited me at home know my hideous gender-atypical channel-surfing. Now imagine it with a screen 17' wide and 22' tall. God, Wolf Blitzer is even more scary at that size.)
We said a shechechiyanu when all three major cable networks announced for Obama. I teared up during his acceptance speech.
God keep him and his family and our country safe and secure so that we may all join in the work of rebuilding and bettering our nation and our world.
