JiM's Dreams

The last two days have pretty much sucked. A congregant and a good friend was killed in a horrific car accident on Thursday. Think of the nicest family you know, with loving, laughing, caring parents and 2 terrific teen boys...that was this family. The mother was killed and it feels like the world has lost something very rare and beautiful. She was a therapist and always helping others, never an unkind word to say, full of laughter and kindness.

The office was a wreck today with sobbing people coming in and calling and needing hugs and tissues. Services were the same. The funeral is Monday, one week before Rosh Hashanah. No one is in the mood to celebrate the New Year just now.

Sucks.

All I can think is that I saw her last Saturday night and gave her a big hug and how fucking grateful I am that I did that.

Seriously sucks.
