I worked my tush off, then slunk out at 2 pm to get one hell of an expensive mani/pedicure. Looks good, though. I was even talked into the teeny flowers for my big toes.
Services were incredible, despite having to sit on the bimah in full view of the congregation, so no fidgeting or scratching allowed. Rabbi's sermon incredible and meaningful, talking about the legacies we choose to leave and NOT making it a fund raising appeal. More about ethical and moral legacies. Very cool, indeed.
I am now home and a gin and tonic reposes beside my elbow. The year is off to a good start.
