So, the dinking around at work meme... what are you doing when you should be being a productive member of society?

Currently, I am listening to a fantastic little Hanukkah album put out by that well-known Jewish organization, Barnes & Noble. It has little gems on it like the Barenaked Ladies singing "Hanukkah, O Hanukkah" and a Hanukkah squaredance song by Woody Guthrie. The Beetniks, Kenny Ellis and Marc Cohn are also represented, as well as a host of primarily Jewish singers. Everything from gospel to rock to folk to blues and jazz -- fun!

Happy birthday to Taselby! I got to read over a final paper of hers this morning and continue to be floored by her intelligence and the sheer scope of her talent.

Off to buy flowerpots and paint them white. (Don't ask.)
