Happy Birthday to Sue! She and I met the first week I was at college. I actually went to chat with her next-door neighbor who was in my orientation group. She wasn't home, but Sue's door was open, we chatted for a sec... and 2 hours later, I left having met one of the best friends of my life.

She is beautiful, witty, athletic, smarter than most people I know, a good mother, a staunch friend and a caring and committed daughter. If my house burns down, I celebrate a simcha, find a weird news story, see a perfect flower or just need to chat over silly things, I always know who to call. She is one of the poles of my world and her friendship is an enormous gift. Happy birthday, my friend, and I look forward to being awful old women together.
