How has my week been? I can sum it up in a single word...

*COUGH*

It sounds like a tubercular symphony in my house. An odd organic mixture of woodwind and percussion with some very... moist tremolos.

The husband nearly had a stroke last week, according to the doctor, due to all the medications he was taking for the cough. His BP was insanely high. The results are icky (that's a technical term). Three meds, one grumpy bored bearish husband, no decongestants. Thank GOD for cable and the public library and the two cats who adore the idea of having a stationary warmer-than-usual human for 12 hours a day of cuddling.

I go to the doctor this afternoon, as I have been providing the pertussive harmony the last few days. The cats are starting to look at us funny, as if to say, "You know, when we have hairballs, we find a nice clean patch of carpet or something freshly dry-cleaned and get it over with! We don't go on and on, looking for sympathy."

Stupid cats.

Let me just add, for the record, *cough*.
Mood:: 'sick' sick
Music:: 1812 Overture (good percussion)

Today's word of the day is: "Phthisiomania". According to 'The Insomniac's Dictionary', it is "an abonormal interest in tuberculosis".

*cough*
Mood:: 'amused' amused
