OK - I am slightly buzzed. Well, really buzzed.
Whiskey tastings are FUN! There is far less decorum than at a wine tasting and a lot more booze. And the selection of whiskeys is pretty cool, too.
That, and all those men wearing skirts. Carrying edged weapons and wearing natty lacy jabots or fitted Prince Charlie jackets. Oh, to make the heart go pitter-pat!
There was an extremely handsome, sullen man there wearing full dress Campbell and a dead badger as a sporran. I was having fun in my own head, imagining that his expression said, "I'm so tough, I wear a whole badger!" Apparently, after 6 shots of various single malts, I said that aloud. Hubby looked the guy up and down, then leaned over and said, "Yeah, but MY sporran badger's still alive!" We then amused ourselves with lines like "Badgers?! We don't need no stinkin' badgers!"

For those of you who are still into "Highlander", here is a perfectly useless little factoid to play with. "Pierson" is a sept name of the clam MacPherson. Sort of makes you wonder where or why Adam chose that name, doesn't it?
